Lunes 4 a domingo 10 de junio - Monday 4th to Sunday 10th June


Esta semana estuvo especialmente marcada por el examen porque era la semana del oral, la parte más temida. El lunes seguí con el estudio pasivo para el examen escrito, y a partir del martes, empecé con el activo. Tres sesiones de práctica en pareja para tener claro a qué íbamos a enfrentarnos el viernes. Pero no todo fue estresante, porque el martes por la mañana fui a comer con mis queridísimas chicas del grupo de español. Comimos en Bella Italia y tomamos algo en Temple Bar. Una compañía perfecta para pasar la mañana. Una despedida más, qué se le va a hacer... This week was especially marked by the exam because this was the week of the speaking test, the most feared part. On Monday, I took up passive study for the written one, and from Tuesday on, I started off actively. Three practice sessions in pair to clarify what we were supposed to face up to on Friday. But not everything was stressful, because I had a lunch on Tuesday afternoon with my dearest girls of the group of Spanish. We ate at Bella Italia and drank something at Temple Bar. El viernes pasamos la peor parte de este mal trago que elegimos pasar. Un día pasado por agua con una profunda sensación de estrés por el poco tiempo que teníamos para responder. Kid Rock, Red Hot Chilli Peppers y Oasis, entre otros, fueron la única forma de evadirme de tanta presión. Una vez que terminé el examen, los 20 minutos que duraba habían parecido 5 por lo corto de las respuestas. Por la noche no salí porque, lejos de tener ganas de festejar que había acabado el oral, estaba preocupado por estar fresco para el escrito, que fue 5 días después. Nada de SU, pero al menos pude estudiar concentrado el sábado. On friday, we went through the worst part of this awful experience we chose deal with. A rainy day with a deep feeling of stress for the short while we had to answer. Kid Rock, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Oasis, amongst others, were the only way to evade such a pressure. Once the exam was over, despite the fact it had lasted 20 minutes, it felt like 5 because the answers had to be really short. In the night, I didn't go out because, far from fancying celebrating the speaking test was past, I was worried about being fresh for the written part, which was in 5 days. No SU, but I could focus on studying on Saturday at least.

Saltando el sábado, que fue una sesión de estudio ante todo, pasamos al mejor domingo que he pasado en Chester. Al mediodía jugamos un amistoso entre británicos y mediterráneos, quedamos en George & Dragon para ver el España-Italia (porque, aunque no lo pareciera, el verano ya había llegado, y con él, la Eurocopa) y nos pasamos allí todo el día, almorzando, charlando, viendo el Croacia-Irlanda y participando en un test que organizaron para todos los clientes hasta las 10 de la noche. Sin duda alguna, pasé el mejor domingo que recuerdo en mucho tiempo. Dormí como un bebé. Skipping Saturday, which was a session of study above all, we should get to the best Sunday ever in Chester. We played a Britain v. Mediterranean friendly at noon, met at George & Dragon to watch Spain v. Italy (because, despite weather, summer's already come, and along with it, the Euro Cup), and spent the whole day lunching, chatting, watching Croatia v. Ireland and taking part into a quiz made for all the customers till' 10 p.m. Undoubtedly, I had the best Sunday I can remember. I slept sound.

A estas alturas, lo único que queda es estudiar, disfrutar lo que se pueda y decir adiós. Esta semana le tocó a Jose “El Hunter”, nuestro querido “murcianico”. Hasta pronto, “acho”.
